Distribution of narcotics
Negotiated a plea to a fine only offense
Client observed by detectives allegedly selling narcotics to an individual
that would later become a government informant.
Result – We rejected offers for my client to become a government informant
and pressed the case for trial. In the end, I was able to negotiate a
plea to paraphernalia, which is a fine only offense.
Client paid a $250 fine and has the ability to get the entire case expunged.

Driving Without a License
One day in jail and no probation or fines
Client had 8 prior convictions for driving on a suspended license –
Client pled to same offense and received one day in jail. He pled before
the same judge in the previous conviction and got 7 days in jail.
Result – I was able to negotiate with the state to not request jail time
and was able to persuade the judge to give my client limited incarceration.
At the end of the hearing, the judge only gave my client
one day in jail without any probation or fines.

Client crashed into a pole in downtown D.C. and blew over the legal limit.
The case was thrown out by the government after Mr. Gracia pressed the
case to trial.

(Second Offense) - Client blew twice the legal limit after someone called
the police, because they observed in a disable vehicle.
Result - After Mr. Gracia got the state nolle pros’d the case on
the trial date, the state came back and recharged the client again. Mr.
Gracia, successfully convinced the prosecutor not to prosecute the case
a second time.

(Fourth Offense) DUI
Result - Negotiated a plea deal where the client only received 8 points
on his license and 90 days in jail with work release.

Result - The case was thrown out by the government after Mr. Gracia pressed the

client blows twice the legal limit and after reviewing the evidence and
talking with the prosecutor.
Result - The charged was reduced to civil citation of negligent driving
which carries only one point on client's driving record.

Client rear ends a police cruiser and fails field sobriety test.
Result - Just short of trial, Mr. Gracia negotiated a plea agreement in
which client completed community service and other requirements in exchange
for having the case thrown out by the government. .

Client caused an accident on I-95 in which client he was rushed to the
hospital after totaling his vehicle.
Result - After talking with the officer prior to court and pointing out
discrepancies in his report to the prosecutor, the case was reduced to
a fine only traffic ticket.

Client crashes into multiple vehicles and was found blocks later with the
vehicle set on fire
Result - after arguing discovery violations and challenging the continuance
requests from the state, the court agreed with Mr. Gracia and the case
was thrown out.
